The Competition
International Chamber Music Competition “Luigi Nono” is addressed to young performers of age between 15 and 29 (for soloists) and between 15 and 33 (for Chamber music).
Chamber Music section includes any group from duo to octect with max 1 piano.
In Soloists section any instrument is welcome, included piano; performers can also be accompanied. Since his birth, the Competition has been growing in quality and quantity of participants, attaining the status of “international” thanks to the massive presence of performers and winners from all over the world.

The prizes
Each of the two sections foresees first, second and third prize, consisting in money amounts. A recital in the subsequent season of concerts organized by “Amici per la Musica” is also part of the prize for the winners of first prizes in both sections. Other performers can be playing in recitals in the season, if so designed by the Jury.  A special prize for the youngest performer (under 18) and the Novecento Prize for the best performer of a contemporary piece are additional awards. The latter – Novecento Prize – is strictly connected with the “Call For Score Luigi Nono”, international prize for composers, whose winner will be asked to compose a piece expressly for the winner of Novecento Prize. A dedicated concert will be organized in the season.
